2nd Week home Pictures

We have survived the second week home.  We have heard that the first 2 weeks back in the states are the toughest weeks.  We are praying that this is true and we will be on the up side from now on.

Items of interest from this week include.....

Monday - Dave went back to work and Maddison just did not understand.  She has been giving Dave a cold shoulder every evening when he gets home.  It is getting a little" warmer" each evening. Hopefully, she will understand that Baba is just gone to work and will return at the end of the day.  We played doctor with the puppies and read Corduroy goes to the Doctor many times in preparation for our visit tomorrow.  I also, gave Maddison a box just to see what she would do. Well........

"Didn't you know the Docs wear shower caps and footed pj's."
What does one do with an empty box????
You load it up.......

get ready.......

and push.

Tuesday - Maddison's first doctor visit here in the states.  Dave was working, so Grandpa Lockman joined us on the trip.   She received 6 shots and only cried a little.  Brave little girl.  I'm so proud of you, Maddison!!!!!

"I'm not real sure of this, Grandpa."
Going to the Dr. wears out a girl, but there is always time for a good book and stacking cups.
"Ah mom, do I have to smile?"

Wednesday - Just a day to hang out at home with mom playing.  Exciting Milestone.......Maddison slept through the night without waking up.  YIPPY!!!!!!!!

Helping Mama with the trash bags.
Blocks - what fun!

Thursday - 1st hair cut or really just a trim.  She did so good and all it took was a bunch of Gerber Banana Puffs. We bought Maddison a baby stroller today and in the beginning she was not to sure of it.  Then, she figured it out.  Again, Maddison slept through the night... that makes 2 nights in a row.  This time it was not as restful sleep, but we are going to count it.  She never woke up!!!!!!

Mary Beth distracted me while Rebecca took a little here and a little there.
"I will tolerate this only because I have my puff stars to eat."
"So Maddison, what do you think?"

Well..........
"OK.  I think I like this!"

Whee!!!!!

There is always time for a good book.

Friday - We started the day with a meeting with two of our local Shriners.  They gave us some insight into how the whole process works and the all important direct phone numbers to registration.  Maddison also had some blood work done.  Again, she was a trouper.  Yes, she cried, but only while the work was being done.  The gals in the office were totally surprised in how good she was during the whole process.  Finally, Dave was able to make contact with the Shriners Hospital and happy news.......there was an opening on the 9th of October to visit with the doctors.  Yea!!!  God is so good!  We really had no idea how long it would take to get that first appt.  We had heard it could take 3 or 4 months.  11 days.......again, God is so, so very good!!!!!!!

Who knows what the weekend will bring.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Love,
~ Robin
