Update from Shriner's

Yesterday, we had our pre-op appointment with Shriner's in Portland, OR.  Maddie did very well and charmed the socks off the doctors and staff here!  Many of the offices in the hospital had treats and gifts for kids who were in the hospital.  We dressed Maddie up in her Pumpkin outfit and "squeaky" shoes and did her pre-op and then trick-or-treated at the hospital.  Everyone loved her outfit (Thanks Grandma Lockman)!

We had to be at the hospital today at 7:45 AM.  We met with the various nurses and doctors and they took her back for surgery at 9:15 AM.  We heard from the ENT doctor around 10:00 AM and he said he had to put only one tube in her left ear.  The right ear was clear and he felt he didn't need to put one in that ear.  We heard from the head nurse everything is going well at around 11:00 AM.  We are anxiously awaiting the final results.  We'll update later.
