Thanks for all the prayers! Maddison is doing very well this morning. Her doctor came in this morning and removed the suture from her tongue. Maddie is a much happier girl. She is sitting on mom's lap playing the toy piano that her nurse Debbie gave her yesterday. It is so nice to see her up and playing. The doctor says we can leave today!
Maddison got out of surgery around 1:00 PM yesterday. We finally got her up to her room around 2:30 PM and settled. She was in alot of pain and had morphine to ease the pain. They tried to get her off the morphine around dinner time, but the amount wasn't enough and you could see she was in pain. They put her on morphine again and it really calmed her down. They tried again around 8:00 PM with a little more and it works wonderfully. Her nurse Debbie is wonderful. She was so helpful and got Maddison up and into a wagon and we road around the halls for a while. Maddie loved going to her and we really appreciated her. She has made our stay so great. We'll post some pictures later of her travels around the halls.
Robin stayed with Maddie overnight while I went back to the hotel. Maddie slept most of the night with the various wake ups by the nurses poking and prodding her each hour. I came in around 6:00 AM and they were both asleep. We are waiting to be released. Thanks again all for the prayers! We'll upload pictures later of our stay with the Shriners!
